There are many opportunities to volunteer throughout the year. During the "off-season" September through May, IMC volunteers are needed for: office assistance at the winter office in Minot, service club and school visits, phone calls and other methods of spreading the word about IMC programs and opportunities.
A major volunteer event that takes place each spring is the Clean, Paint, and Repair (CPR) Days held in May. During this time, adult volunteers (and supervised teenagers) gather at the camp to prepare the buildings and grounds for the camp season. There are buildings to be cleaned, light carpentry projects of all sizes to be done, and miscellaneous painting (weather permitting). There is something for everyone to do, and it's a good time to get together with others for a couple of days of "giving back" to the camp. Meals and lodging are provided for all volunteers. Click here to get more information about CPR. CPR is scheduled for Friday and Saturday, May 21 & 22, 2010. Come for a few hours, a day, or both days!
Volunteers are also needed during the camp season each summer. There are miscellaneous projects that always need doing around the camp, plus drivers are often needed to shuttle students and staff to and from airports and depots.
