1st Session
June 13 - 19, 2010 (Middle School Week)

MIDDLE SCHOOL WEEK is a special program offered for students who have completed grades 5-8 and who want a camp experience with others the same age. The schedule for the week has been designed to meet the needs of middle school kids, and includes plenty of time for getting to know other campers, recreation, and fun activities. The idea behind this unique session for middle school age students is to allow young people a chance to explore their art with their peers and with outstanding artist-teachers who love working with them. A great combination for young or first-time campers!
• Middle School Art Exploration (grades 5-8) • Middle School Band (grades 5-8 with 1 or 2 years experience) • Middle School Choir (grades 5-8 with unchanged voices)
• Music Teachers Survival Course The Music Teachers Survival Course will give undergraduate music education majors and teachers in the early yeas of their careers some practical and useful "survival" skills, although all music teachers are welcomed to participate. They will experience topics such as conducting, repertoire, middle school methods, instrument repair, technology and more.
