Audio Technology
Audio Technology I will feature applications of live audio, field recording, home-studio recording, and producing recordings for CD or digital distribution. We will take advantage of our surroundings and find opportunities to work with the various performing ensembles at the camp, as well as using various pieces of software to create our own music in the "studio". If you would like to learn how to navigate a sound board, set up microphones and speakers, or record your local garage band, Audio Technology Camp I is for you! Professional Development is available for this class.
Audio Technology Camp II will focus our attentions on more in-depth mixing techniques and signal flow strategies. We will also develop recording skills using Garage Band, Cubase, Audacity and other pieces of recording software. You will learn how to set up a recording session in the software, how to arrange your recording room for optimum microphone placement, recording and mixing strategies, and a survey of various pieces of hardware and software to learn how each can specifically address the needs of your recording project.
Participation in Audio Tech 1 is very highly recommended before participation in AT2. If you have questions about the camp and what kind of hardware or software you can bring with you to camp, please contact International Music Camp or instructor, Paul Redding at info@amyredding.com Professional Development is available for this class.
