logo
Join us at the International Peace Garden for the Third Annual Oktubafest on October 3-5, 2014!

The weekend will include events for tuba and euphonium players of all ages. We are planning recitals by guest artists, repertoire sessions for euphonium and tuba solos and tuba quartets, master classes, a massed tuba-euphonium Choir (for all participants), an Oktubafest Band, Tuba Sunday Morning, and performance of newly written works for tuba quartet. Preliminary plans also include a TubaChristmas reading session. We invite participants to Oktubafest who are high school and college/university musicians and teachers, as well as amateur and professional artists.

We are very excited to welcome Dr. Joseph Skillen, tuba artist and professor of Low Brass at Louisiana State University. Quartets and soloists will be invited to participate as performers, as well.

Many activities for participants, families and the general public will be offered at the International Peace Garden during Oktubafest. These include German food, tours, and hiking throughout the Gardens and more.

The cost if you register BEFORE September 26, 2014 is $75 USD for Adults and $42 USD for High School & University Students.
If you register AFTER September 26, 2014 it is $90 USD for Adults and $50 USD for High School & University Students.
