Oktubafest 2013

Join us at the International Peace Garden for this 2nd Annual event October 4-6, 2013!

The International Tuba Quartet hosted the 1st Annual Oktubafest in 2012. From L: Dr. Tim Wollenzien, Dr. William Winkle, Karl Ortman, and Dr. Joel Pugh.
The International Music Camp proudly presents "Oktubafest 2013", October 4-6, 2013 at the International Peace Garden on the Manitoba/North Dakota border.

The weekend will include events for tuba and euphonium players of all ages. We are planning recitals by guest artists, repertoire sessions for euphonium and tuba solos and tuba quartets, master classes, a Massed Tuba-Euphonium Choir (for all participants), an Oktubafest Band, Tuba Sunday Morning, and performance of newly written works for tuba quartet. Preliminary plans also include a TubaChristmas reading session. We invite participants to Oktubafest who are high school and college/university musicians and teachers, as well as amateur and professional artists.

We are very excited to welcome guest artists Marty Erickson, tuba, and Jason Ham, euphonium. Quartets and soloists will be invited to participate as performers, as well.

Many activities for participants, families and the general public will be offered at the International Peace Garden during Oktubafest. These include German food, tours and hiking throughout the Gardens and more.
