Dr. Timothy Wollenzien

Camp Director
Minot, ND

Dr. Tim Wollenzien has been the Camp Director since the fall of 2006. Wollenzien is a graduate of Rolla (ND) High School, and Minnesota State University, Moorhead, and earned Masters' and Ph.D. degrees in music education from the University of Minnesota. Wollenzien's teaching experience includes K-6 general and 5-12 instrumental music at Lake of the Woods School in Baudette, and high school band at Coon Rapids and Osseo Senior High Schools, all in Minnesota. He was a music education professor and a band conductor at St. Cloud State University prior to his appointment at IMC. Dr. Wollenzien remains active as a euphoniumist and band clinician/conductor. He's the music director of the Minot Community Concert Band, a member of his church handbell choir, and is the coordinator of Minot's annual Merry TubaChristmas each December. Wollenzien and his family reside in Minot, ND during the school year.







Amy Hall

Administrative Assistant
Minot, ND

Amy started working year round for IMC in May of 2004. She began her association with the music camp the summer of 2002 when she worked as a music librarian and has had a passion for it ever since. Having grown up in a military family, she has lived in many unusual and beautiful locales, mainly on the US West Coast. After graduation from high school in Alaska, Amy attended her early college years at Linfield College in McMinnville, OR. During her sophomore year, she transferred to Minot State University and graduated in 2003 with a degree in Music Education.

Amy is also a flutist in the Minot Symphony Orchestra. Her free time pursuits include music, reading, outdoor sports and church activities.





Brent Johnson

Canadian Representative
Winnipeg, MB

Brent joined the IMC team in 2000 as a Dean of Boys and also served one summer as Director of Students. He is currently Vice-President of the Canadian Board of Directors where he has served since 2004 and has worked part-time year-round for IMC as Canadian Representative since 2005. Brent holds undergraduate degrees in Music and Education from the University of Manitoba and is fluently bilingual in English and French. Brent has taught band, jazz band and exploratory band at the middle years and high school levels at schools inside and outside of Winnipeg.

Brent is an active saxophonist and currently plays tenor saxophone in the Winnipeg Wind Ensemble as well as serving as an active saxophone clinician in the Winnipeg area. His performance history includes the National Youth Band of Canada, University of Manitoba Concert Band, Wind Ensemble and Symphony Orchestra, the Royal Winnipeg Rifles Band, various saxophone quartets, Winnipeg based Beatles cover band Billy Shears and faculty bands and ensembles at the International Music Camp.

Brent is active in the fields of arts education and administration; in addition to his work for IMC, he has worked in the music sales and support industry through his experience as Education Services Consultant at Long & McQuade Music. Brent also serves on the board of the Winnipeg Wind Ensemble as Director of Marketing and Promotion, works in the position of Education Projects Coordinator for the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra and serves as General Manager of the Winnipeg Jazz Orchestra.
