First Season in 1956
The first International High School Music Camp session registered an enrollment of 113 students plus 19 director's workshop participants. The Music Camp Band presented four performances during the week to an international audience of 10,000 spectators. Internationally noted conductor and musician, Dr. Al G. Wright, served as the first Guest Conductor.

FULL SCHOLARSHIP TO BE GIVEN AWAY

A full scholarship for one week at International Music Camp in 2010 (value $345 USD) will be awarded on February 10, 2010. To enter the drawing, click on "Sign Up" at the top of the homepage, and sign up! It's that easy! One entry per person. Anyone can sign up--students, parents, grandparents, friends, teachers, etc. After you sign up, we'll keep you posted on all kinds of exciting things happening at IMC. We'll select the winner from all those who have registered on the website by 11:59 PM on February 10, 2010. We'll announce the scholarship winner on February 15. The INTERNATIONAL MUSIC CAMP Summer School of Fine Arts offers a wide array of cultural study for children and adults alike.
In weekly sessions, students of all ages gain concentrated knowledge in their particular area of interest. And, while the camp's name speaks of its foundation in music, it really includes much, much more. Dance, creative writing, painting, and drawing are only a few of the unique subject offerings you'll discover at IMC.
A staff of over 150 artist-teachers, internationally noted guest conductors, and outstanding clinicians from the United States, Canada, and Europe provide instruction to students from around the world.
Campers have the opportunity to work and play with their peers in a challenging and relaxed setting. Lasting friendships are formed - memories, music, and enough creative summer magic to last a lifetime.
